Quick Breakfast for Those on the Go

21 Jan

Recently I have started a diet and I am finding some amazing recipes so hopefully this will be updated more often.

My first diet recipe is a delicious, nutritious, and quick breakfast “shake” for those who are concerned about energy and carbs.

Ingredients

1 Blender or Blender Bottle for a quicker breakfast
1 Cup coffee – Preferable cold, if not add a few ice cubes
1 Serving of Designer Whey Protein Powder (Use Whey isolate as it’s lets calories/sugar/carbs (and protein) than normal Protein Powders
1 tablespoon of Flaxseed Oil or Fiber
1/2 Cup of a Milk of your choice. I use Almond Breeze unsweetened Vanilla (only 20 calories for half a cup!)

Instructions

1. Make 1 cup of coffee, you can use instant. I use a k-cup in a Keurig Machine
2. If your coffee is not a cold one, put some ice in it
3. add your 1/2 cup of milk
4. Add your flaxseed oil of fiber. If you are new to this I would recommend 1 teaspoon, especially if you have a long drive to work. You can build this up as you go on
5. Add your protein powder
6. Shake/Blend
7. Drink and go. I normally “chug” mine fast. It’s a nice energy boost and keeps me full for a solid 4-5 hours, and I am a big guy.

Wedge Salad

Making it should only take about 15-30 minutes, however it should be noted that this is not the type of meal you can save for a “rainy day” in a Tupperware container in the refrigerator, this is a recipe that should be enjoyed immediately after it is prepared.
