DIY Pumpkin Spice Syrup

Okay, let me give a shout out to Jennie over at The Messy Baker Blog, because she posted a recipe that is going to keep my happy during December through August. That recipe is for “Pumpkin Spice Syrup,” which is a large reason I frequent Starbucks. As anyone knows, Pumpkin Spice products have really popped up everywhere over the past few autumns, there are muffins, bagels, doughnuts, Hershey Kisses, etc. This trend really started with Starbucks’ Pumpkin Spice Latte. Anyone who is in marketing probably envies the success the “PSL” has had over the past few years. Like any company Starbucks was trying to keep their menu fresh by releasing seasonal drinks, most didn’t pan out or just didn’t catch fire with customers. However, the PSL took off. In fact I awoke with excitement when my alarm went off and I seen I had an email from Starbucks announcing that their PSL was back at stores everywhere this year, I even instagrammed it…seriously. Honestly, PSL from Starbucks is a pretty big deal, this is coming from someone who runs on Dunkin by the way.

Red Lobster Cheddar Bay Biscuits – A Visual Recipe

You can make Red Lobster's Cheddar Bay Biscuits with just Bisquick, Water, Cheddar Cheese, Garlic Powder, Butter, Dried Parsley, and Italian Seasoning

As mentioned in my previous recipe post that outlined how to make Red Lobster’s Cheddar Bay Biscuits at home, I did make this recipe and put it to a taste test on Thursday. Now Thursday was a late night at work and I had to run to the grocery store to get Bisquick (or rather the grocery store brand equivalent) and cheddar cheese (and some pectin for another recipes), so I wasn’t sure if I was going to do the recipe. However, after looking at it, I determined that it was actually a pretty quick recipe to make and would be perfect for anyone who is short on time and wants to spruce up their dinner.

Overall I want to say anybody can make this, from the most experienced to the least experienced chefs. It should take just under 30 minutes if you’re not taking 100 pictures of every step.

Last week I went over the recipe to make Olive Garden’s Chicken Marsala. I claimed that it was easy to make for both seasoned chefs and beginners alike. I felt that perhaps it was time to put my money where my mouth is and show you exactly how easy this recipe is. All you need […]

DIY Old Bay Seasoning

Alright, this comes a little out of season (see what I did there?). Sure, you’re going to use Old Bay a bit more in the summer when you’re cooking the fresh fish and crabs you’ve caught. I just love Old Bay. I’ll use it year round, and I’ll put it on anything and everything. Only […]
